| Brand identity for a special wine restaurant in Nemea. Its name is Seventeen Villages, and counts the 17 villages of the Protected Designation of Origin wine zone of Nemea.
The entire concept and philosophy of the new wine restaurant Seventeen Villages revolves around the 17 villages of the Nemea PDO zone. Agiorgitiko is cultivated here and all the wines bearing the name Nemea are produced and bottled here. This is the story behind the name of the restaurant, whose wine list includes labels exclusively from Nemea region and the Peloponnesian vineyard. The menu is developed in an equal number of tasting proposals, bearing the names of the 17 villages. The visual identity was based on the 17 villages, their names and the geographical network that connects them within the zone. First we wrote the names of the villages by designing each letter and each name individually, in a peculiarly simple style. The writing draws references from the Doric style of the neighboring temple of Zeus as well as the popular memories of the area. In the same way we created the logo, an organic cluster of letters that connect the villages in the wine zone. We then drew the map with the network of villages and vineyards. We illustrated the road network, the relief and the vines, the ancient and newer monuments, the sights. The final composition was rendered like a rugged old traveler's map sketch.
