Tripolis Festival / The album

The Tripolis Festival Album was published in 2002 by the Municipality of Tripoli. The theme of the festival was forms of contemporary theatrical act. It was organized in Tripoli from 2000 to 2002, under the artistic direction of Nikos Lagadinos.

The festival was photo covered by Johanna Weber. Johanna captured the atmosphere of the festival in black and white film. Many of the published photographs are unique theatrical documents as well as pieces of art.

The layout design of the pages for each performance was a study of visual storytelling according to the rhythm of the photos, which was predetermined by the theatrical direction of the show.

This book is one of my favorites. Its content has been a personal experience from the stage to the printed page. Although two thousand copies were printed, only a few know about this album. The sad thing is that there are currently no known copies available. The cause may be related to the management in the warehouses of the Municipality of Tripoli.
