| The Little Prince. My Little Prince, a favorite design but also a special moment from my theatrical history. The theatrical adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's famous masterpiece, as staged in July 2011 by the Tripolis Theatre Group, directed by Rallou Michalopoulou.
I dared to bypass the classic figure of the Little Prince that adorns the cover of the book. The golden haired crown is aimed at a primarily adult audience. A typeface with obvious references to the famous flowing script of the English original, was specially designed for the title. The press-program kit is a special red case containing the "Book of the Adults" with information about the performance and the play text, the "Notebook of the Children" with an original game designed for children, the fold-out illustrated map of the Little Prince's journey and four postcards featuring favourite phrases from the play. In addition to designing the promotional and editorial material, I also undertook the design of the sets. The colorful ring used in many applications, is the central element of the scenography. |
